One of my secret delights is the growing of unusual houseplants from things discarded. Here's the latest project, the "stone" of a mango - my first go at one. You scrape off the stickiness, wash, dry, cut a slit in the pointy end. and drop it into a cup of warmish water, but don't drown it by submerging it too far. 24 hours later swop the glass of water for a wet hanky in a plastic bag with holes in it. A few days later you find this.
