Just tried playing a game that I hadn't played for...*checks*
...14 years.

and of course my skills at it are very rusty lol

I'd beaten the game once, and I knew there was postgame content I hadn't seen yet, but I loaded my save thinking I had just entered the halfway point of the dungeon and walked straight into a bossfight I was totally not expecting. A boss fight *with actual plot*.

the game is Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, btw

now where in my backpack is my Hot Iron Ladle......
