Have started sketching out an #Rstats package for working with the Transatlantic Slave Trade Database (SlaveVoyages)
Inspired by a year's worth of occasional poking at the data to incorporate it into a #GIS module for a colleague's class. In addition to a simple wrapper, I think there are some functions that could be useful for basic reshaping, geocoding, etc. (And I actually am awful at GIS in R, but I guess I'll learn!)

Have started sketching out an #Rstats package for working with the Transatlantic Slave Trade Database (SlaveVoyages)
Inspired by a year's worth of occasional poking at the data to incorporate it into a #GIS module for a colleague's class. In addition to a simple wrapper, I think there are some functions that could be useful for basic reshaping, geocoding, etc. (And I actually am awful at GIS in R, but I guess I'll learn!)
