Solidarity with #Ukraine would be strengthened by solidarity with the #SudaneseRevolution : Sudanese grassroots organising, mostly using civil disobedience, has shown incredible stamina in refusing military control. If Hemedti+al-Burhan were arrested for human rights violations, then Sudanese gold would no longer flow to Moscow.

A transitional council similar to the one in #Belarus has now been created with the aim of a return to democracy and evidence-based, rational, participatory decision-making. This is also similar to the #SudaneseRevolution - wide but imperfect consensus between activist groups.

The #SudaneseRevolution has what seems to be unique among transitions away from dictatorship - *no* national elections until the end of a 3-year transition period, so that the existing political parties don't get an unfair electoral advantage. Members of the transitionary head of state, the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, and the prime minister, are ineligible for the post-transition election:
