As far as I can tell, according to that mastodon dot social guy, the word 'Toot' is official over for Mastodon posts.
That may be so (my instance still has a Toot button) but I propose the term Subtoot remain.

Catching up on my feed after a week away and getting my regular social media reminder to not take the “all you people should …” posts personally.
I already know I am not doing enough in the battle for justice and not only for the group offended by my tiredness. And I can relate to their frustration with my inaction and with others within my demographic because, Hell, I often have very little patience for the woes of members of my oppressor group. But being reminded of how unwelcome my tiredness of my own struggles is only plugs into my existential despair.

People who use ableist and body shaming language to dunk on public figures are sending a message that they aren't allies to neurodivergent and people with body differences.
If someone is a shitty person, talk about their crappy beliefs, criticize their shitty behaviour. Using ableist slurs and body shaming language implies that those elements are the problem rather than the actual issue.
