I heard Sam Phillips in Toronto at about this time. She had never toured much (at least, in her modern career) and it was so amazing to hear her in person.

I started watching this show at the very beginning bc I read that Sam Phillips was doing the music (all those little la-la-las? That’s my favorite musical artist of all time. I’ve been listening to her since she had a different name). These days, I don’t like it all that much, but it reminds me of a time I loved.

I am watching this specific episode bc I’ve been looking for it for so long, and finally figured out which one it was. S3, ep 2. The one where Lorelai tells Christopher “Then Honey, we are where we are.” Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop were so great in this episode.

I’m cracking up at this Gilmore Girls episode from… 2002? Do modern generations get this show at all? There are references to Sister Sledge and Vince Foster. There’s no way anyone under… maybe 50, 45 at the least… would get that one.

I work in the spookiest building on campus AND I have great old windows in my office. Bought some lighted ghosts and I am gonna have fun with college students. (I would like to do a whole projector thing, but don’t want to spend that much on something that security will probably tell me I can’t do)
