Ohnehin verstehe ich noch nicht so ganz, weshalb #Subnautica2 trotz oder gerade wegen der rechtlichen Streitigkeiten mit Publisher Krafton so gehyped und gewishlisted wurde.
Auch wenn der Titel noch Early Access ist - unterm Strich bleibt ein abgespecktes Subnautica 1, dessen Geschichte von Anfang an weniger in die Tiefe zieht, dessen Spielmechanik sich offenbar null weiterentwickelt hat und das auch weiterhin vor allem von großer Orientierungslosigkeit der Spieler*innen lebt.
Ich sags wies ist - #TomodachiLife hat für mich tatsächlich mehr spielerische Innovation als das.

#Subnautica2 ist für mich zu hoch.
Ich bin schon am Tutorial gescheitert. Sollte die Halteklammern für die Rettungsboje lösen, aber aus der Beschreibung der AI, "gegenüber der Luke außerhalb des Personenfensters" bin ich absolut nicht schlau geworden. Ich musste mir einen Videoguide anschauen um zu verstehen dass ich HINTER die Boje schwimmen sollte.
Jetzt habe ich wieder ein ähnliches Problem - ich brauche Silber aber in diesem ganzen verflixten Meer ist kein abbaubares Silber zu finden. Nur große Adern, für die ich Werkzeug brauche.
Besonders smart finde ich diese endlosen Tagebücher und Audioaufzeichnungen auch nicht, wenn man nicht in Ruhe zuhören kann ohne zu ersticken oder von Fischen gefressen zu werden.

It was more that the dark ocean wss scary and leviathans could do cheap jumpscares. And cheap jumpscares aren't really being afraid of tbe leviathwns. If one has thalassophobia, a teddy hitting a submarine's glass screen would be just as terrifying as a reaper. So, yws, S1 and S2? Influencer-fodder.

Me scared!!" which I always found kind of disingenuous as Subnautica's leviathans just looked goofy (reaper and sea dragon especially). And looking at the Subnautica 2 gameplay? It's back to influencers being "scared" of very goofy monsters. Rh. All I can hope is that there's a Subnautica 2: Below Zero, where they focus on identity, personality, and stlry again. I did really love BZ a lot.

I mean, I get it, they're a company, and their driving motivator is MrCrabbs-Money!.gif above all else. Still, I loved Below Zero for allowing minoroty ethnicity characters to have personality and to hell with the racists! So, this one isn't for me. I had suspected tbat for a while, but I was hoping I was wrong.

All of the personality from that trailer is gone—the personality that had X screaming woke. The playable characters are about as safely generic as they could be, their uniqueness meticulously extracted. I'm not a fan, sorry. It doesn't exactly suggest good things about the game itself.
