This is Kareem Shalaldeh.
He was 17 years old when he was shot dead on Friday, near Sa'ir in the southern West Bank.
He was shot after Israeli settlers entered the area, which is part of Area B, for a “hike” after settlers earlier set a building near the village on fire. (1/6)
Increasingly common in the West Bank are settler “hikes” (aka settler raids) that end in Palestinians being killed/injured. But while the army and the police call them “hikes,” we know that armed Israeli settlers entering Palestinian communities is a calculated provocation. (2/6)
