Yes that is one suspicion of ours also.It also could come down to the #farming of the #soybeans, the #inputs required there.
Cows *may* mostly self-fertilise whereas that may not be the case for the average #soyCrop. Also #manualTilling (#weeding) takes energy and would likely be needed, if they don't use GMSoy, which they can spray with cancerous herbicides and not kill it.
Having said that even the (multiple?) #sprayings would require inputs, though.
