We used to have a textile jindustry, but our learned leaders thought it not as #HiTech as vehicle manufacturing. Then the next generation of leaders thought car manufacturing wasn’t worth it.
Now Australia no almost zero manufacturing. I get my woollen jumpers, socks and jackets from Melbourne and Victorian companies that survived that cull. The best processed materials are purchased from the Japanese.
