For all that is wrong (and cursory glances reveal there is a lot wrong here) with #capitalism these days of unhinged #neoliberal laisser-faire, I personally don’t wish for its demise.An uncompromising realignment of capitalism with emphasis on the #GreaterGood and #SocialResponsibilities, yes, by all means let’s. But an abandonment of capitalism requires something other to take its place to ‘guide’ our economy, vital to our society’s welfare. I for one cannot see what that ‘Other’ is, nor can any of the current crop of #Economists. Some form of #PrivateOwnership will have to survive at least IMO.
