@DaveWhittle I did respond when I saw this. I disagree. I know I'm from the era of the fortunate few who were able to travel overland to India & widen my horizons along the way. I returned to pursue my post-grad studies in #Soc_Anth, like many others. A tradition that continues to this day at #SOAS, the #L.S.E and other places of learning. Plus a side interest in the 'History of Mathematics'. Sometimes even the #Guardian gets it wrong!

@ktdoggett I often feel the world, certainly the Western World were to be force fed #Soc_Anth from the get go. Fortunate man stumbled upon it in my late teens. Never looked back.
