Snowgoose are a Scottish contemporary folk-rock band, centered around singer Anna Sheard and guitarist Jim McCulloch.
This, their most recent album, is a very pleasant and tuneful listen, with Anna’s lovely voice to the fore.
Well worth a listen!

Another unusual bird seen on last week's visit to #Scotland was this Snow Goose. Usually seen in North America, it drew birders in - although the locals would be more than enough for me (these included Yellowhammer, Tree Sparrow, Pink-footed Goose, Reed Bunting, Teal). In an adjacent field was another N American visitor - a Green-winged Teal.

The immature White-fronted Goose and two immature Snow Geese that I've seen on and off for the last 2 months are still here, and getting their adult colours! The white-fronted now has a nice white patch around its bill, though smaller and a bit more speckly than those of full adults.
The Snow Geese still have their baby grey highlights, But their bills are definitely turning a nice handsome pink, from the dark grey they had before!

A Sandhill Crane can be seen walking behind the geese and the tiny dark speck to the left of the crane is a coyote. A few geese are circling overhead.

Absolutely a gorgeous winter's day in central NM. Not a cloud in the sky; no wind. Beautiful views of birds, pools, fields, and surrounding low mountains. Shirtsleeve temperatures by early afternoon.
Haven't looked at my photos, yet, but suspect I have some nice ones to share in the coming days.
