Had some time to kill before my nail appointment today so grabbed my sketchbook instead of scrolling!

I went early to the sketcher's meetup yesterday to have coffee with a local artist I greatly admire, and who inspired me to do this kind of tiny people doodles, Nishant Jain.
If you ever get the opportunity to take one of his workshops (he does a lot online and also travels around!) I highly recommend it. Even if you aren't super artistically inclined. Nishant's approach to art is about reclaiming our attention spans and curiosity.

Yesterday's doodles.

Put together a whimsical art kit. Easy to throw in a bag, draw a few tiny people, and then leave for a stranger to find. Hopefully spreading some joy and whimsy into their day.
Idea lifted from one of my art teachers, Nishant Jain - the sneaky artist

I did NOT love leaving my house today. But I did love having the opportunity to sketch more tiny people while waiting for pickup orders.
Working on simplifying the lines EVEN MORE down to the very simplest version of them. It's helping with proportions I think.

I didn't scroll my phone at all while being out for errands today. It was kinda nice.

Thinking about ways I can practice my quick people drawing. I am not someone who goes out often. I am making more plans these days, it's definitely not as much as I'd like to be out there drawing stuff.
Then it occurred to me, there are probably livecams from all over the world I could watch and use for practice.
While I love that one of the purposes Nishant speaks about his art is observing ppl in your physical area, I recognise that isn't as accessible for me.

Was 20 min early to my appointment today, so I spent 10min people watching and sketching instead of scrolling.
