It set no data protection framing whatsoever. The winning project awards points for transit rides, purchases and presence at specific locations, with daily challenges tailored to each user by an AI model.

Miasto zamówiło na hackathonie pomysł na to, jak zwiększyć zaangażowanie mieszkańców w swojej aplikacji.

Nie postawiło przy tym żadnych ram ochrony danych. Zwycięski projekt nagradza punktami przejazdy, zakupy i obecność w konkretnych miejscach, a codzienne zadania układa pod użytkownika model AI.

Mieszkaniec płaciłby prywatnością za miejskie zniżki. Rozmawiam z człowiekiem, który ten moduł zaprojektował.

A first batch of V2X nodes is making its way into the field!

Specifically, it is going to our 5GoIng Smart City Boxes [1], which we have already set up at the IN-Campus [2] in Ingolstadt. They form the heart of the system and handle 5G mobile communications, V2X functionality and the control and monitoring of our solar-powered lighting boxes.

The boxes are approx. 1x2x1 m in size and have solar panels and lighting elements that are directed at the nearby roadway. This allows us to trigger various lighting scenarios on command - for example, if two road users are approaching at dangerous speed at the traffic circle.

Our ZERO Smart City Cube!

The Project:
- Publicly funded research project
- Centered around 5G communication
- Goal: Improve road traffic (Increase efficiency roundabout, test safety measures, integrate Smart City functionality)

The cube:
- Dynamic lighting to increase traffic safety
- Warn vulnerable road users at crossings
- Inform speeding drivers
- First deployed at the First Mile in Ingolstadt
- Energy-self-sufficient via solar power
- Weather and vandalism-proof

The technology:
- Recognition of road users is based on V2X, but can also rely on other sources (e.g. LIDAR)
- Low latency communication with other systems via 5G mobile networks
- Power storage based on Audi second life battery modules
- Built-in roadside unit with 5G and V2X functionality.
