Microsoft's October 2026 Windows 11 update KB5127648 may stop some devices from enabling Smart App Control, according to a BleepingComputer report citing Microsoft's advisory. Smart App Control blocks untrusted apps, so affected devices lose that protection. Admins should verify the setting after patching.
