#SlowShotwell (green) could connect to 2-way protected bike lanes branching off in all these directions (red).
(Yes, I'm calling for protected bike lanes on South Van Ness for 4 blocks. The way different street grids come together makes it the most direct path from the Mission to City Hall. So bicycles should get safe use of that most direct path.)

Had a motorist be really aggressive to me on #SlowShotwell. This is rare in my experience, but I wonder how much of that is privilege or something: maybe there’s something about how I look or ride that makes drivers think twice about messing with me. I’m not intimidated by the incident but worried others would be… and may be getting bullied off Slow Streets by guys like that.

The worn and missing #SlowShotwell diverter posts at 20th St have been replaced, but they still don’t extend to the outside of the crosswalk, as we were promised months ago to cut down on slaloming motorists. #SlowStreets #bikeSF
