Am Mittwoch rollten ca. 50 gut gelaunte Kids begleitet von einigen Eltern zur Erich-Kästner-Grundschule in Brackel. Geplant ist aktuell ca. eine Fahrt pro Monat.

@geonz @bikenite A6. Returning to this one late. Sometimes when we ride our tandem we get friendly "nice bike!" style comments.
One unique one we got once was on a #BikeBus and "I love what you're doing teaching the kids how to ride safely" We were stopped at a red light so chatted for a bit, and I asked them if they get to ride often and sort of jokingly asked that they come join us. They said they hadn't ridden in a long time. I hope that somehow the conversation inspired them to try riding again!

@bikenite A5. Lots of torn pants ☹️I learned to roll up the cuff afterward. After many years, I switched to a bike with a chain guard. Much better.. but then I had to replace the crankset and chainrings and now if I don’t roll up the pant leg, I get grease marks. So I roll again.
On our #BikeBus my kid and a friend both recently tore pants and shoelaces. I felt so bad for them. I wish this was one of those lessons that they didn’t have to learn the hard way, but it’s easy to forget to teach! And only some kids bikes here come with chain guards.
Are there chain guards one can put on a bike as an add-on?
