Haven't watched all of this yet (link in 3rd post), but I am keenly interested. #SlavojZizek says: "Trump is...a symptom, a reaction to the failure of the mainstream welfare state liberal democratic [capitalism]."
I'm not entirely sure of that final word, because the interviewer interrupted him. 🙄 But even without that final word, I think Žižek nails it.
