Someone on here recommended Skim as an open-source, AI-free pdf reader. Thank you, whoever made the rec and boosted it into my feed. It is fast, light, full of features I want, and easy to use.

These are literally the only two pieces of software I miss after moving out of the Apple walled garden in 2014 (happy #fedora user since).
#JabRef and #SumatraPDF are not really comparable, but they get most of the jobs done… -

Yess! #Bibdesk the unsung hero for us with #Macs! Pair up with #Bibdesk with #Skim, 🙂 and pulling in annotations from PDFs cannot get more intuitive! Plus I find it extraordinary how much punch they pack in such small footprints of software size!
I still use #Bibdesk 1 and #Skim 2 everyday.
You can never have enough bibliography and reference management software if you ask me, 🙂
