Sing For Joy

The “Sing for Joy” sticker that
she pasted to my jacket
clung precariously there
most of the way as I trudged
home through the virgin snow.

Then in a moment it was gone,
blown away by the winter wind.
Though I was singing before it
came and continued to after
it fluttered away.
