Wrote about the hour or so I spent last night migrating my web analytics from #SimpleAnalytics to #Plausible
TL;DR Plausible is pretty good barring my one gripe for which you'll have to read the post :P

Took a little effort but I was able to import all my page views from #SimpleAnalytics into #Plausible. Found a JavaScript program that convert the Simple Analytics CSV into one suitable for Plausible, so I quickly rewrote it in Python and added support for importing location data which the original was missing. My Git server isn't open for registrations so you can send any patches to me via your text delivery medium of choice.

I am beginning to hate Google Analytics 4 with a passion I thought I only had for Drupal. Overengineered, privacy invading, difficult to implement, difficult to use piece of crap. Simple Analytics is a total breath of fresh air in comparison.

The crowd-sourced difficulty ratings for my #Chainagram #WordPuzzle are created with data collected using the rather wonderful #SimpleAnalytics (https://www.simpleanalytics.com/). The best thing? As well as being simple to use it's totally anonymous, unlike #GoogleAnalytics.
Here's how it works: when you solve a puzzle, a number of anonymous events are triggered (https://docs.simpleanalytics.com/events). This includes how many additional checks you used (the same data is presented on page to the player).
