I saw a youtube video this week about how kids these days don't actually read anymore. My current book is a slow-paced horror novel that isn't grabbing me except that it's set in my home state and apparently the one reader I follow on Goodreads who also wants to read it is... my mom. So part of me thinks I need to cut my losses, but then what if I'm the problem of people not reading and also what if my mom is dying to know what I think about this book? What then? #bookstodon #sillybrain

Settling in to begin an old paperback novel and can't get over how small it is in my hands ... or did my hands grow during the night? #SillyBrain

And it's that time of night when I can't speak for the life of me, but I can type just fine.
My partners and kids will speak with me and I'll respond back by texting them... while standing right in front of them - Or I'll use my computer and type on a notepad.
One of my partners knows way more sign language than I do. If this gets worse I may have to invest in learning it, myself (I've always wanted to anyway, just had more pressing priorities).
