Heroic Knight Saga: The Shore at the End of the World

A place perpetually in twilight. The vast ocean reaches out endlessly, disappearing into the horizon. Crumbling ruins are strewn about the shore and some stone pillars reach out of the water in the distance, but most of the ancient structures that used to be here have fallen into the sea. There's a tavern and an inn for travelers passing through and a few houses for local residents, but not much else. Though many have set out to discover what's beyond this place, magic cannot reach far enough to see if anything exists on a farther shore and any ships that set out always reach the same impassable, never-ending storm and must return. As far as anyone knows, the world ends here.

While Hawaiian slack key guitar masters use a great variety of alternate tunings, ukulele players are usually stuck in major sixth tunings (albeit in differing pitches, and linear or re-entrant). Retuning a couple of strings—or even just one—can help one discover new sonic worlds, makes some elusive voicings possible, and, in general, stimulates inspiration.

In this anthology, Choan Gálvez proposes you to work on a few scordaturas, all of them feasible using a standard low G string set. Your instrument won’t be at risk as all of the suggested tunings decrease the total tension supported by the ukulele.

The set of 12 original works by Choan Gálvez includes ragtime and bluesy compositions, havanera stylings, melancholical-optimistic tunes written at the dawn, and a touching elegy.

We have two #Disney projects in theaters this summer. Both films needed transcription of vocals to #sheetmusic for foreign dubbing.

The first is #Pixar ’s Toy Story 5. This is our third film project in the Toy Story series.

The second film is the live-action adaptation of 2016’s Moana. It was a weird time warp to revisit Moana exactly one decade after working on the original.

I keep seeing this sentiment around lately- to have faith in ourselves. It's resonating with me as I'm seeing so many creative people having a hard time (myself included)- dealing with fatigue, burnout, fighting against social media to be seen, etc. So I hope this song brings a bit of comfort and solidarity to people who continue to make human-made art during these times. All we can do is try our best, try to better ourselves, and have faith in our talents and abilities to do things and become better at them through time, practice, and trusting the process.
