A small steam boat on the Uretara River. According to Max Avery's book "Maritime Tauranga 1826-1970" the steamer in this photograph is believed to be the s.s. Result, the longest serving steamer in the Tauranga-Katikati trade. The photo was sourced from the Hardy-Johnston photo album.

Peak House
Interior view of part of the dining area of Peak House, an eatery and venue at the top of Te Mata Peak in Havelock North, with views overlooking Hastings and Napier. Built in the late 1960s the restaurant was popular for it's Faulty Towers evenings during the 1990s/2000s, with customers having to book at least a week in advance.
Operated by Robert Raymond van Rijk from the 1980s to early 2010s. During this time he ran barbecue cooking classes from the restaurant.

Robert North Keeling, 1900~
Mr Keeling was born in Liverpool and came to New Zealand in the ship "Minerua" in 1859. He was appointed as the first teacher of the first public school in Palmerston North in 1873 and three years later started business as a land and commission agent. He was appointed as the Borough's first town clerk (part time) from 1877-1879, and full time from 1879-1907. He died in 1910.
