I just got a fun idea for a costume of a meta nature for #STLV. Do a college sports inspired fan inspired outfit. Dress up with Starfleet Academy gear: a shirt and hat. And carry around an Academy flag. On top of this paint my face with division colors and the digits 4 and 7 on each cheek.

Went to see the Super Furry Animals at Brixton Academy.
Missed this band over the last, what, 15 years since they last played?
Banger after banger. One of those bass rumbles felt like the building was shaking, earthquake alerts.
The classic SFA song has some sweet jangly guitar tune going on then two verses in you feel something weird and electronic in the beat and then the wall of noise and beeps and booms hits you in the face. Love it.
Power-ranger helmet, furry suits, flashing lights and strange cartoon alien creatures on the backdrop.
Ending with that first song they ever wrote together, as they almost always did. The Man Don't Give A Fuck is a masterpiece and that beepy boomy wall of noise is different every time. Whole room bouncing up and down shouting that they don't give a fuck about anybody else you know they don't give a fuck about anybody else you know.
No encores. Ever. If you have a finale like that why would you? Prompt finish and out. Staff must love it. Everyone hanging on to that last second then moving on at once instead of hanging around unsure if anyone's gonna play again.
Looking forward to doing it again outdoors at Beautiful Days.

Basically most people in two large sci-fi centric communities on Discord watch this. Most of my direct friends that are trek fans have watched it. The vast majority has watched a couple episodes at least. Many have completed the first season. Some have only watched the pilot and stopped.
Combined that is possibly hundreds of people already. That would be 1% of the entire #SFA audience. That does not seem plausible.

Finished #StarfleetAcademy and a tiny canon thing irrationally annoyed me. They call Reno “Commander” while she’s in command of the ship, Caleb says “Captain,” she corrects him. But #DS9 established whoever commands the ship is called Captain. Just me?

#ENT hab ich noch nicht live mitbekommen, da konnte ich noch nicht zittern. Aber schon das überraschende (auch für die Beteiligten) aus von #DSC und die nur halbe letzte Staffel #SNW zeigen für mich leider aus Produktionssicht in keine gute Richtung. 😵
Und ja, #SFA hat konzeptionelle Probleme und schwächere Folgen, aber die meisten Serien aus dem Umfeld müssen sich erstmal warm laufen, um den eigenen Stil zu finden. Ich hoffe, sie bekommen diese Zeit. 🙏
