Just watched, for the first time, #RobertAltman's #Popeye. Interesting film, but I couldn't help imagining what a version starring #TerrenceHill and #BudSpencer, and directed by #SergioCorbucci, would have been like.
I also read Lily Tomlin and Gilda Radner were considered for Olive Oyl, but #ShelleyDuvall was the perfect choice.

Dłubię sobie nad drobną rzeczą w temacie spaghetti westernu (gdy czas nadejdzie, będę dam znać, co i gdzie) i muszę Wam napisać, że nie było w PRL-u szacunku dla tego nurtu kinematografii. Niby pod koniec epoki, długo po tym jak spaghetti western dokonał żywota, trochę się w temacie zaczęło zmieniać, ale bez przesady. Dotyczyło to raczej filmów Sergia Leone niż makarońskiego westernu w ogóle.
Na dowód recenzja "Navajo Joe" (1966, Sergio Corbucci) z 20. numeru filmu z 1989 roku autorstwa (najprawdopodobniej) Konrada J. Zarębskiego.
A w niej między innymi takie zdania:
"Wersja oficjalna głosi, że western zmarł śmiercią naturalną – na uwiąd starczy. Jednakże bliższa prawdy wydaje się opinia, że western zamordowano: podstępem sprowadzono do Włoch i nakarmiono spaghetti...".
"Oto znów daliśmy się nabrać na opakowanie, bowiem prawdziwy western, nawet z kryzysowej połowy lat sześćdziesiątych, tak się ma do >Navajo Joe< jak tabliczka wedlowskiej czekolady do chrupki z masy tłustej, produkowanej przed kilku laty pod hasłem >I w kryzysie nie dajmy się!<".
