The wildflower area at the allotment entrance which I manage has many seed heads now, including from grasses, there are also still a few flowers such as asters and Rudbeckia left. I especially like the pretty papery seed heads of Catananche caerulea, which is doing very well there as it likes dry and sunny places with poor soil. #seedheads #garden #autumn
