But the archaeological site includes the ruins of a Byzantine basilica, a Roman forum and amphitheatre, and the Crusader-era Church of St John, which was rebuilt into a mosque – and is believed to be the site of the tomb of John the Baptist, known in the Quran as Prophet Yahya

Vicino alla stazione ferroviaria ottomana di #Sebastia, i soldati riservisti impediscono ai palestinesi di percorrere anche quel remoto sentiero di ghiaia.Vicino a #ShaveiShomron, i soldati permettono di viaggiare da sud a nord, ma non nella direzione opposta.
Perché? Perché.I soldati al posto di blocco successivo si scattano dei selfie e tutte le auto aspettano che finiscano di fotografarsi per ricevere il gesto sprezzante e paternalistico della mano che permetterà loro di passare, mentre il traffico si ingorga sulla strada. ⬇️3
