• Inconsistent moderation (e.g. me being muted for 1 day or more just for mentioning websites like pinterest without even linking directly to them, meanwhile people will spam and drop links to malicious websites while nothing happens to them)

• Mass reporting issues (never actually happened to me, but still happened to some popular scratchers, which is why the trending tab looks like nothing's changed for more than 3 months)

• Very rude people on there who will diss you based on what things you casually like

• Scratch now wants AI

In the past I admittedly have expressed support and even went so far as to do a one-off music project related to it (which btw has been deleted already), and this was way before I joined Mastodon around December 2024 (mastodon.social was my first, I'm on sunny.garden now) but ever since I first joined masto, I have fully renounced and stopped supporting/using AI in any of my content. I also don't and have never used AI in any of my content/art/music besides that one deleted project. I have not been able to delete forum posts as there is no way to delete them, but I take full responsibility for my past actions and have changed my stance since then.

fun fact: if you speak romanian in certain english language websites for kids that have a badword filter (like #scratchmitedu), you can't say the verb "porni" as in "porneşte maşina" (start the car) because the filter sees the "porn" part and automatically mutes/bans you for "profanity" even though you're speaking your own language and not saying any actual bad words
