#Scanxiety is real but hoping that the tests/procedures this week provide some long awaited answers & actionable next steps.

I’m getting my first #mammogram this morning.
Having already survived metastatic cancer, I’m very grateful for the surveillance options available to me. But #scanxiety takes a toll, even for routine stuff like this.

@evacide us cancer patients and survivors call it #scanxiety.
Although it refers to a singular scan event, the reality is that it is a chronic condition of anxiety due to the trauma of fighting and/or living with a terminal illness.
