There's definitely a lesson or two to be learned from the Sapeurs from Congo.
Quality old clothes are a *lot* more stylish than the cheap, disposable, planet-destroying "fast fashion" tat.
Clothes last longer if you look after them.

Here's Gims, along with Congolese rapper Niska, with "Sapés comme jamais". Gims was born in Congo and his parents emigrated to France when he was 2 years old. If you're not familiar with Congolese sapeurs, look them up! A "sapeur" is like a dandy, a man who has a special flair for fashion. To be "sapé" is to be well-dressed. So this song is an ode to getting dressed up real nice. "Sapés comme jamais" means "dressed up like never" (as in, like you've never seen it before). A real bop
