Season 6 of Rust in Production is finally here!
The first episode features Cloudsmith who *didn't* rewrite their Django monolith in Rust. They just fixed the slow part with Rust extensions and services. The result was a massive speedup, minimal disruption.
Not every Rust adoption has to be "loud." Sometimes the quiet wins are the best ones. :)

This is a good #RustInProduction episode
“In this episode, we speak with Danilo Krummrich, Linux kernel maintainer and Rust for Linux core team member, about the groundbreaking work of integrating Rust into the Linux kernel.”

Radar replaced their Elasticsearch/MongoDB-based geospatial search backend with a single Rust binary.
Here's the story: https://corrode.dev/podcast/s05e08-radar/
Highlights:
- Rust's performance allows recomputing and reloading large in-memory datasets at startup. This simplifies operations and rollbacks.
- They ended up choosing Rust for its predictable memory behavior (not just performance)
- A team of mostly TypeScript developers successfully onboarded to Rust -

New episode of 'Rust in Production' with @jessfraz about building modern CAD software for hardware design with Rust!
https://corrode.dev/podcast/s03e05-zoo/
"None of [the competitors] use a GPU. None of them are built modernly. One of the engineers told us their CAD kernel predated C - it's FORTRAN but they called it 'C plus'. Just the whole thing is an archaic codebase."
Zoo fixes that. Everyone said it would take a decade - they did it way faster than that.

Rust in Production - Season 3, Episode 2 is out!
Had a great conversation with Deb from InfinyOn (who build Fluvio) about real-time data pipelines in Rust.
Deb said: "Companies should start using Rust in their most concurrent and async code paths first - not rewrite everything"
