I don't watch much broadcast TV, so I didn't see this on the Junos award show on the weekend, but it's nice it's available online:

Geddy Lee famously commented after the death of drummer/lyricist Neil Peart that (inexact quote) "Neil was Rush; there is no Rush any more".
But a few months back, five years after Neil's death, Geddy and guitarist Alex Lifeson announced they were having fun playing with a new drummer, a young woman named Anika Nilles, and planned a Rush tour in 2026. I wasn't aware they were playing at the Junos, but they sound pretty good together to me. My brother, of course, already has tickets to one of the dates on that tour.
It must be somewhat incredible to be onstage, playing as part of a group that was putting out big albums a decade or more before you were born.

How is it possible, that I lived my life so far, without being a Rush fan? Not even registering on my radar. But never got the fix. Sure, seen the logo here and there. But the more I listen,the further it blows my mind. Read an interview with Al Cisneros of OM/Sleep fame, mentioning them and can’t escape the pull of the Sagittarius A sized rabbit hole.

@futurebird I need to get this off my chest. When he was young, my husband looked quite a bit like #GeddyLee. Now that they’re both older, he still looks like Geddy. I didn’t know what #rushband looked like until recently and, when I saw pics, I was gobsmacked.
