I don't like when rope goes unnecessarily complicated, e.g. bamboos without a function, randomly added (spoiler: a function could be adding beauty, pain, tension, relief, absurdity, and all those live in the eye of the beholder).
my personal tying is usually messier/noisier. For teaching I use a cleaner, casual, down to earth style for clarity.
