Not to mention it also starring James Earl Jones, Robert Guilliame, Marla Gibbs, Eddie Griffin, Sinbad! And Luther Vandross shows up!!!
Did I forget to tell you the main villians are Big Daddy Kane and Don Cheadle?!!

So in my house as a kid, #RobertTownsend was a household name.
If you haven't seen #HollywoodShuffle, a Black indie movie written by, directed by, and starring himself. Keenan Ivory Wayans was also a writer and is in it too. It's required reading (viewing) for Black folx by my estimation.
Oh, and who else? How about Damon Wayans and John Witherspoon?!
There are some truly hilarious bits in this one.

Re: Kaleidoscope (the show) - NO SPOILERS
My partner recommended me check out #Kaleidoscope on Netflix based on all the buzz around the randomized order of the episodes and whatever (I'm just going to leave all that alone), and the fact that Giancarlo Esposito is pretty rad.
Of more interest, I saw #RobertTownsend credited as the director! Then I sez, "no way this is _the_ Robert Townsend" - but it is him!
And if you don't know Robert Townsend... you need to!
