"Meep-Meep"
All shot using real lighting, figures, miniatures, tree bark for the rock, cotton wool clouds and some signs I made, printed and cut out.
I've always wanted to replicate a Looney Tunes cartoon with photography, it took me ages to set this shot up, I put my all into making it as good as I possibly could.

TIL that roadrunners don't go "meep meep" but make some weird chirping noise like a dinosaur. Of course I was reasonably sure they didn't go meep meep before, I just didn't know what call they made. Now I know.

Celebrated our 8th Anniversary with @mostol over the weekend by renting an expensive lens and trying to see if either of us have good prospects working for Nat Geo in the event our current careers don't work out.
Of course, holding the lens still, keeping it in focus, and zooming all while two road runners are effortlessly weaving between rocks and shrubbery is damn near impossible so this is the best we got. Wiley E. Coyote, I feel your pain.

One of my favorite exhibits at Brookfield. This time I was lucky enough to catch them at feeding time. This guy was celebrating his meal, even going so far as to roost up high showing off his catch. Intermittently he would slightly puff up his feathers and give three "coos."
