I drew this sketch of Maria Rasputin around mid-march when I think it was her birthday. A fascinating historical life. Dad was a mystic who briefly had some control over Russia, she escaped the bolsheviks and became a cabaret dancer in east Europe, then a lion tamer, moved to paris, then the US, worked in a factory for WW2 war effort, and lived on social security in Los Angeles till she died.
