When I send a message from Phone Link in Windows 11, it’s sent via SMS (which, for technical reasons, is unencrypted). I find it completely baffling why RCS isn’t already the standard here. No one uses SMS in everyday life anymore. It might be okay as a fallback solution, but encrypted RCS should be feasible for a multibillion-dollar corporation like Microsoft. Or maybe they’re just wearing blinders with dollar signs on them over in Silicon Valley.
