This album fucking RIPS. The dude's voice is awesome. Sound maybe like old Minor Threat, Black Flag, Briefs vibes, Clash flair, slightly heavier. Some AMAZING, riffy, catchy hardcore punk. Killer dynamics, song structures, (even key changes - gasp!) just a FANTASTIC record from an incredible punk band I'm glad I spotted via the collection of early recordings they just put out.

I am going to say something very positive about the #QLD #legal profession and the police here. These are 2 things that have happened in the last 5 years that were told to me by 2 woman:

1. The judge and lawyer told her that she cannot let her son have contact with the father until he is 10. Even though she knew he had serious problems #drugs #DV #control it took them to make sure she understood how dangerous this was for her son.

2. 6 months ago a friend left her husband and he went to the police complaining that she was calling him all the time. She wasn’t. When the police came to talk to her and discussed with her what had happened they wanted to know if she wanted a #restrainingorder taken out as it obvious to them he was following the pattern in this article. They had been trained to recognise it. It works.

In early 2021, #Rahimi was arrested at his #Texas home, & police found:

“a .45-caliber #pistol, a .308-caliber #rifle, #magazines, #ammunition, & a copy of the protective order.”

He was charged w/illegally possessing a #weapon since he had a #RestrainingOrder against him.

Rahimi argued in federal #court that he had the right to possess #guns, but a judge ruled against him on that issue. Afterward, he pleaded guilty to the federal charge & received a sentence of 6 yrs in prison.

A #Texas court found that #Rahimi had “committed family violence” & that such violence was “likely to occur again in the future.” It issued a protective order [aka #RestrainingOrder] that suspended Rahimi’s #GunLicense, prohibited him from having #guns & warned him that possessing a #firearm while the order remained in effect might be a federal #felony.

Rahimi later violated the protective order & was involved in 5 shootings between Dec 2020 & Jan 2021.
