One could add to this @greenpeace story that AI enables vast amounts of emissions contrary to the AI companies claiming the opposite (enabledemissions.com).

In the sense that, the panopticons will hoover up things like h-card and h-event anyway, but presumably not rank them as highly as their preferred JSON-LD KoolAid drinkers. And for some publishers that might be a *good thing* because they are in any case more focused on being found and appreciated via *people*

I got my copy some weeks ago and have just finished reading the book. I can highly recommended it. Really an eye-opener to read about what lies behind the AI hype.

As a high school teacher myself I totally agree and have decided to drastically change how I use computers, homework, tests etc the coming school year.

It's a catastrophe that the Danish government hasn't decided on how to use/not use AI in schools and universities.
