Quick question for the #AcademicFedi: I was recently reminded that I have a #ResearchGate account that I haven't updated in such a long time that I was still supposed to be doing a postdoc in Germany...
So I try to log in, discover that it's using my old German address, switch to the backup address, log in, update the affiliation, and then think "wait, but why am I keeping this"?

So I ask you: is there any good reason why I should not delete this account?

New Terms and Conditions of #academia.edu are simply unacceptable. I’ll try to move things to #ResearchGate and, hopefully, to #KnowledgeCommons (hcommons.org) and then very probably delete my academia account completely.
