The moment the recruiter learns that I am on a dependent visa, they ghost me, even though the visa allows me to work without restrictions.
Kind of loosing all hope now as even the low paying roles just filters me out.

Some tech interviews are now asking to record attempting competitive programming challenges with a camera on.
I know I am desperate for a job, but there is no way I'm gonna turn my camera on if there's nobody on the other side. I'm not an entertainer.

Applied to a certain 3-letter company yesterday, and at a certain point of the application process it asked me to rate my own language skills according to the CEFR (A1 to C2)...
Only... I'm applying for a position in Germany, at a non-German company, on a website written in English.
And they never stated which language they wanted me to rate myself on. :blobfoxcofe:
I obviously rated myself as C2, because why not? I can back that up in 3 of my 4 known languages.

LinkedIn experience be like,
R: Hey, you look interesting, wanna chat?
Me: Sure, what do you do?
R: We can chat about it, what time are you free?
Me: Let's talk me tomorrow at xx:xx, here's my contact.

It's fucking ridiculous that recruiters kinda expect you to write a CV _specifically_ for THEIR dev role, along side a literal fucking cover letter.
Why the fuck ask for a cover letter if you want a tailored CV?! Jesus christ. Like its not enough that I'm wasting hours of my time writing the perfect cover letter to spoon feed you reasons why I'll be your perfect burnout victim, you also want me to tailor my CV for you too. #RecruitingHell #programming

The only bright side to that job rejection was that: the CEO never responded to ANY of my requests for disability adaptions before the interview. But he *did* respond to my request for feedback. Indicating that he clearly was reading the messages, he just didn't care about #disability #RecruitingHell

The reason why competitive salaries are written in job advertisements is because the most important thing is not to win, but to participate #recruiting #recruitinghell #recruitingtheinnocent #humor

Oh fuck my life.... I'm so desperate for work, I just did a "job interview" with a chatbot.... was basically just generic screening questions, you would normally just fill in on a form or in an email, but instead it was a chatbot with a fake profile picture.
Teaching sand to think was a mistake, I swear...
Job hunting in 2024 is cursed, it sucks, and I really am sick of this. I'm so frustrated at *ALL* of this, it's hard to keep from just starting to cry from how much of a mess this is now.

Oh thanks for emailing me a rejection... 90 days after applying. I *totally* remembed that I had even applied after 1/4 of the year passed. /sarcasm
