About thirty years ago now I had a job stress/overwork problem that turned into #psychiatric #malpractice. (Mismanagement of medication by an unqualified therapist who was lying to my doctor.) I'm not gonna go into any more details than that "in public".

Fast forward. About a month ago I finally got an appointment with a neurologist to diagnose an arm tremor that has been troubling me on and off. The conclusion was that the tremor is benign, but the subject of mitigation came up, and it turns out most of the class of drugs effective against essential tremors are in the class that was misused on me thirty years ago.
Thirty fucking years. All we did was talk about it, and I went into a full-color shaking, weeping flashback there in the office.
DO NOT EVER underestimate how badly this shit, even LEGALLY APPROVED shit, can fuck you up.
