  2. [It can be very dangerous to come off #psychiatric #medications. It must be done slowly & while under physician supervision. In addition to the likelihood of symptoms returning, coming off an #SSRI can cause severe physical #withdrawal, some of which may never dissipate making it impossible for the patient to ever totally stop the medication. #SerotoninWithdrawalSyndrome can be debilitating; symptoms include severe dizziness, nausea, loss of balance, & frequent vomiting.]

I knew a #psychologist who had worked in an in-patient #psychiatric ward, & had the dubious privilege of introducing one "Jesus" to another.

    "#HaywoodEarl, residing at the public hospital in Jamaica Plain, likely would have survived his bout with skin cancer if he’d received a timely diagnosis and appropriate medical treatment, the nonprofit Disability Law Center concluded in a 28-page report."
