CW: Terato mention, look I know it's MerMay but the werewolf thoughts are biting, let's get this out of the way because I could post to Aethy with the idea but I'd end up with the post in limbo for days until staff gets the issue resolved and I am not too sure it'd do numbers on Ao3, also this features my misunderstandings in the A/B/O trope and further lore on that (for now I won't discuss that but you know what I mean), reader fic in the future possibly?
I have a reader fic+werewolf!au idea where Doppio (and Diavolo, as a feral werewolf but he never leaves the apartment) are reader's next door neighbors and one night getting home, they see the door open wide and seeing Doppio half transformed in the middle of the living room with a huge wolf-man monster trying to comfort him and reader immediately leaves and then has the dilemma of telling their new neighbor they know... at least until one morning Diavolo (in full wolf form) barrels into them when they're out getting mail. Cue an awkward apology from Doppio and a friendship of sorts forming. (Which, goes to friends with benefits and well :blobcat3c:)
Bonus: Reader's first time with either Doppio or Diavolo causes them to be a werewolf too. (Mainly because getted fucked by a werewolf works similarly to getting bitten- at least in the stories I think of)

Reader puts a hit out on themselves to put themselves out of their misery, and somehow manages to see Diavolo's face/in person by accident. (Which, you know, is a death wish)
Except Diavolo doesn't turn reader into a donut (read: kill them via gut punch) out of paranoia immediately. He sees something in reader worth saving, and takes them in as a 'live-in assistant' (in reality, more so as a roommate/lover) and even has Doppio spend time with them. It doesn't cure them nor make the pain go away, but it hurts less to live on their end... and maybe, they realize life isn't so awful right now.
