I have both #Safari and #Vivaldi on my mobiles, but my #default #browser is Safari.
I don't need a #screenreader all the time, so I don't run #VoiceOver.
Safari will #readaloud to me if I choose to listen, so opening a link from wherever is how I use Safari.
When I know where I'm going, I mostly use Vivaldi. And if I think I'll want to remember a #website or #access it on my #computer, I'll paste the link into Vivaldi because they're synced.

تازگی دو تا چیز خیلی باحال دربارهٔ افزونهٔ #ReadAloud در #فایرفاکس فهمیدم. این افزونه میتونه به کمک سرویسهای برخط تبدیل متن به صدا (Text-to-Speech, #TTS) نوشتهٔ صفحهها رو برامون بخونه. خودم وقتی بخوام مقالهٔ طولانی به ویژه به #انگلیسی بخونم بهکارش میبرم.
و اما دو تا چیز خوبی که فهمیدم:
یک. این افزونه از مدلی به نام #Piper هم پشتیبانی میکنه که بینیاز به اینترنت، متن رو به کمک یک شبکهٔ عصبی محلی و با پردازشگر خودمون به صدا تبدیل میکنه. ✨

Update: Ich rate mittlerweile von den Google-Wavenet-Stimmen ab, da sie doch schneller kostenpflichtig werden, als man annehmen würde. Wählt besser bloß "GoogleNeural2", die klingen fast so gut wie Wavenet, haben dafür aber ein deutlich höheres monatliches Freikontingent.

@thomasbeagle are you familiar with #SeananMcGuire ’s #OctoberDaye series? They are Bujoldian (#LoisMcMasterBujold ) in construction and very well edited. I am blessed with being #ReadAloud to while cooking and we are 10 books deep and loving it.

Est-ce qu'il y a du monde qui utilise l'extension "Read aloud" par ici ?
Je l'utilise en App de mon androïd sur Firefox en "navigation privée" systématique. Depuis une semaine je n'arrive plus du tout à sélectionner une voix qui me convienne et celle par défaut est non seulement trop robotique mais en plus, elle mange les fins de phrases, rendant l'écoute trop agaçante pour tenir.
J'ai l'impression que les options sont bloquées par une nécessité de passer par une version payante ?
Je dous avouer que sans ça, ma capacité à lire des articles se réduit drastiquement 🥺

Another one: What do people use for reading out loud articles? At best on #Android? I find that #Pocket has really robotic voice, #ReadAloud has terrible #UX and I just miss the way this works in #MSEdge.
