I know tires make a huge difference in how a car feels on the road. That said, going from worn out tires (and worn in a weird way) to brand new high-end tires with a fixed alignment (it wasn’t bad, but definitely needed tweaked) has really changed how I feel about our 2020 #Acura #RDX.
The RDX has had a decent ride since we bought it used a year and a half ago, but the more I drove it the more disappointed I was with how it handled. Even the “I’m straightening out this turn so I’m gonna lightly let go of the wheel so it recenters gradually on its own” type move was rough as the car always REALLY wanted to go back to center. It made driving smoothly really difficult.
Well, no more. It finally drives how I expected it to drive! I’ve always said that the most important part to your car is tires, to not go cheap, and take care of them! I should have listened to my own advice more on this one. I just didn’t realize how bad the old setup was.
