ein bisschen spannend ist es schon, wie abhängig solche seiten von engagierten freiwilligen sind. wenn ich nicht die energie gehabt hätte, die mäßige alt rock-band eines bekannten hinzuzufügen, gäbe es sie einfach gar nicht auf der seite.

Echando un vistazo en rateyourmusic, veo que no tienen ningún disco bajo 3 de promedio, lo que es bastante bueno. Eso ya dice harto, en mi opinión.
De hecho, su disco homónimo que lanzaron este año está casi al final de la lista y a mi me gustó harto, a nivel de estar entre mis favoritos del año hasta el momento.
Reading user reviews of your favorite records on e.g. #rateyourmusic or #recordclub is a fascinating experience. Especially the negative ones. Really gives you some sense of how normal people perceive the music you cherish and treasure

Apparently the reason for the removal of the bottom charts on RYM is because it wasn’t actually being used to showcase bad music, rather it was being used to brigade bad people onto the charts. Someone did some data crunching based on charts from a few years ago and it seems like the zoomers were the ones to blame, putting the reactionary crap on there. And yeah, as a(n early zoomer that tracks).
Hell, even I’m guilty of similar behaviour, gawking at the bottom charts and showing it to friends outside. But at the same time, it was just a mere curiosity and if RYM feels it’s better for the community if it’s gone, then yeah, I totally understand.
Wonder if people here would be interested in a "One Artist, One Favourite Song" list on RYM. Been on the mind a bit. I'll make it either way but I wanna see what the interest is here.

L'anno scorso ho fatto un esperimento insulso su #RateYourMusic (#RYM). Aggiungevo alla play history *ogni* disco che ascoltavo (che poi vuol dire ogni disco che ascoltavo *al PC*, gli altri se me ne ricordavo bene altrimenti ciccia). L'obiettivo era di andare a vedere, alla fine dell'anno, quali erano i dischi più ascoltati. Risultato? È venuta fuori una lista infinita, mi si prendeva male a sfogliarla e fare i conti, quindi ho lasciato perdere. :blobcatfacepalm: , esatto
Ordunque, quest'anno metterò nella play history solo i dischi ai quali sto dedicando del tempo. Per dire, sta settimana sto ascoltando a ruota *Mercy* di John Cale, quindi nella play history c'è quello, nonostante in questo momento stia ascoltando *Death Penalty* dei Witchfinder General. Si gabisce? E sticazzi? Infatti.
