The funny thing was they blamed the backlash on an army of militant vegans, because I asked them very nicely a couple of weeks before to CW their picture of pigs in blankets, which they refused and doubled down on, causing a minor uproar, which then intensified once they hired the ex-cop...

I’m gonna take a guess that this thought process was kicked off by the #RaspberrySpy discussion, and in this concrete instance I’ll note that the new employer and employee boasted of his previous experience as a surveillance tech.
